Immediately unpack your plant to let it breathe. Place it in a shaded or bright, indirect-light spot (avoiding harsh sun) and lightly water only if the soil is dry. Do not re-pot for at least a week to let it recover from travel stress.

Caring for an online plant delivery requires patience as it adjusts to your local environment. Follow this step-by-step process to ensure it thrives:

1. The First 24 Hours (Unboxing & Inspection)

• Unbox carefully: Remove all packaging materials gently to avoid snapping any stems or leaves.
• Clean the foliage: Use a damp cloth to gently wipe the leaves. This clears off transit dust and helps the plant breathe better.
• Inspect for pests: Check the undersides of leaves and the topsoil for any unwanted insects.
• Quarantine: If you already have houseplants, keep the new arrival in a separate area for at least 7 to 14 days. This prevents any hidden pests from spreading to your existing collection.

2. Watering & Light

• Check soil hydration: Feel the top 1 to 2 inches of soil with your finger. If it is bone dry, give it a light watering until it drains out the bottom. If the soil is soaking wet, let it dry out slightly.
• Acclimation lighting: Place the plant in bright, indirect sunlight for 3 to 4 days. Do not place it in direct, harsh sunlight immediately, as this will cause it to burn while it is weak. Gradually move it to its permanent location over the course of a week.

3. What to Expect (Transit Shock)

• It is completely normal for your plant to look a bit droopy, slightly wilted, or to lose a few yellow leaves due to being in a dark, stuffy box.
• Do not panic. Just provide consistent care and give it time to bounce back. You can trim off any dead, black, or heavily dried leaves so the plant can focus its energy on new growth.

4. Repotting

• Wait it out: The biggest mistake plant owners make is repotting immediately. Leave the plant in its original nursery pot for at least 1 to 2 weeks so it can settle into its new home.
• When you do repot: Choose a pot that is only 1 to 2 inches larger in diameter than the nursery pot and use a well-draining soil mix suitable for the specific type of plant

You may return most new, unopened items within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.).

You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).

If you need to return an item, simply login to your account, view the order using the "Complete Orders" link under the My Account menu and click the Return Item(s) button. We'll notify you via e-mail of your refund once we've received and processed the returned item.
